Goal 3Good health and well-being
Catches vision problems early, before they affect daily life, so people know when to see an eye doctor.
EyeCheck.app is a free online vision test that helps you screen for vision problems from your computer, with no app or appointment needed. For children from age 3 and adults.

Each test checks a different part of your vision. All of them are free.

Referred for a full eye exam
Used at home by families, and by schools, clinics and charity programmes.

EyeCheck.app was created by Andy Teo, Developmental Optometrist (FCOVD) at Vision and Perception Practice in Singapore, to bring reliable eye screening to everyone online. Every test is based on the principles of optics and vision science, and draws on over 20 years of clinical practice.
Screening only, not a diagnosis. If a result is outside the normal range, or you’re worried about your vision, book a full eye exam with an eye care professional.

Our founder Andy was born with a cataract in his right eye. Nobody knew until a school vision screening at age 8. EyeCheck.app exists so problems like his are caught early, at home or at school.
Read our storyEyeCheck.app supports four of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. A free test in the browser means vision problems can be caught at home or at school, wherever someone lives.
Goal 3Catches vision problems early, before they affect daily life, so people know when to see an eye doctor.
Goal 4Undetected vision problems hold children back in class. Schools can screen a whole class for free.
Goal 8Good vision helps people work safely and well. A quick check shows adults when it’s time for a full exam.
Goal 10No app, no appointment and no cost, so families far from an eye clinic can still get screened.

About the 17 goals ↗I wasn’t sure if I needed glasses or not, so I tried this screening tool. It was surprisingly accurate and helped me decide to book a proper eye test after seeing the results. Super convenient and well-designed!
As a primary school teacher, I used EyeCheck to check one of my students who was having trouble seeing the whiteboard. It was quick, easy, and gave me enough confidence to recommend an eye checkup to the parents.
I used this app to check my 4-year-old daughter's eyesight at home, and it was so easy to follow! The visuals kept her engaged, and I felt reassured knowing I could do a quick screening before deciding to visit a clinic.

EyeCheck works like an eye test app, but it runs in your browser, so there is nothing to download. For accurate results it needs a screen of at least 33 cm (13″), so use a laptop or desktop computer rather than a phone.
An online eye test is a screening tool. It can show signs that your vision may need attention, but the result depends on your screen, lighting and distance, and it cannot examine the health of your eyes. It does not replace a full eye exam.
Yes. Children from age 3 can take the test using shapes instead of letters, with an adult helping. If the result is outside the normal range, or you have any concerns, see an eye care professional.
It depends on your age, health and risk factors, so follow your eye care professional’s advice. Many adults are advised to have an exam every one to two years. Book sooner if you notice a change in your vision.
